Kevin Pitts is the District 5495 Governor for 2023-2024.
He joined the Rotary Club of Prescott in 2005 and has been an active member since, both at the club and district levels. He served as president of the club in 2007-08 and in 2018-19. His experience living in Mexico gives him ties to that country and he has followed that passion, serving as international service chair for his club and as the co-chair of the Mexico-USA Friendship Conference and Global Grants Exchange. He also has an interest and background in teaching and has served as District Rotary Leadership Institute Coordinator, as well as a PETS facilitator. He was awarded the district’s Champion for Peace Award in 2019 and served as a chaperone in 2018 for Interact Ambassadors traveling to Africa as part of the Crutches 4 Africa service project. |

OPTIONAL "Gift from the Heart" Pajama Program: Help us bring comfort and joy to children (ages up to 18) in homeless shelters. Bring a book and/or pajamas. Donations will be given at our Club meeting on December 21st. Thank you for your consideration to this Rotary effort. Service Opportunity: Volunteers are invited to mark their calendars for the annual Fountain Hills Food Pack. The event is Thursday, Feb. 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Over 200 volunteers are needed to pack dehydrated meals according to a press release from Susan Brahs, New Journey’s communications coordinator. These meals will be distributed locally to the Extended Hands Food Bank of Fountain Hills, AZ Brainfood, which serves school children in the Valley, Native American Urban Ministry and Native American Connections, according to the press release. Meals are also distributed internationally by the Food for Kidz organization which distributes meals wherever they are needed most for victims of disaster, wars or unrest, the press release said. The Food for Kidz organization works with the following national/international groups to distribute food: Lifeline Christian Mission, Children of the Nations, Vision Honduras, Kids Fighting Hunger, Reach Now International and Impact Lives, according to the press release. |
