2023 Kentucky "Rotary" Derby Race for the Roses
 
 
 
Race for the Roses Derby Day fundraiser, the fun takes place on Saturday, May 6, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the beautiful Desert Canyon Golf Club, DC Bar and Grill in Fountain Hills, AZ. 
 
By participating in this year’s fundraiser, you’ll be helping  the Rotary Club of Four Peaks support disaster relief in our home country and internationally.  In return, you’ll have a chance to win one of many prizes.
 
The FUN day planned at the Four Peaks Rotary races consists of.....
 
  • Eleven Rotary Horses will be auctioned to participate in Rose Carpet Showcase Parade, and race for the roses for Win, Place or Show finish 
  • Charity Win wagering on race day
  • 50/50 raffle; 50% to the winner, 50% to charity, 100% worth it
  • Rotary Wheel of  Derby Cheer for swag and prizes
  • A chance to sit in the Rotary VIP Suite (several seats will be auctioned for trackside cheering on their favorite Rotary Derby horse. Seating is intended for kiddos)
  • Bourbon tasting opportunity 
  • Tender Little Hearts Mini horses welcome from 1-2pm  (Website In the News)  
  • Hor d’oeuvres and buffet lunch
  • Cash bar serving, beer, wine, liquor and special Derby Cocktails
  • Entry to become a Contest Winner:  
    • Best Overall Paddock Stable owner; naming, jockey, horse colors
    • Ladies best Derby hat 
    • Ladies and Gents best Derby attire
    • Best Dapper Derby Couple or Family
  • Live streaming of the actual Kentucky Derby available

Race Day Attendee Fee:  $25pp, ($15 pp for club member) includes appetizers, buffet lunch, non-alcoholic beverage, snacks and entry into all  eligible contests.  Additional track side seating will be available for auction to children 16 and under.

Dice roll odds are taken into consideration

11 Rotary Derby Horses will be available through live and silent auction process.
Highest 1st bidder will have their choice of first horse number between #2-#12, during each auctioned round until all horse numbers have been selected and awarded to a stable owner.
 
Horse winners will be determined by horses/jockeys advancing one spot until crossing the finishing line. 
A pair of dice will be rolled, the total die number will correlate to the horse which will be announced by our Rotary Race Caller.  The corresponding horse of the roll will move up one spot on each roll until a Winner, Place and Show crossed the finished line.  
The odds of each dice roll are taken into consideration for race track starting point.
 
Win, Place and Show winning Rotary Horses will receive nominal cash winnings! 
Best Dressed Stable (Paddock) and Jockey prizes will be awarded!
