A word about Club fundraisers...

All of us know that our good work in the community is dependent upon the various fundraisers we hold throughout the year. Although Four Peaks rotary Club members are committed to serving our constituents, our fundraising efforts will likely look a little different for awhile. In that spirit, President Scott is encouraging us to put on our "creative thinking caps" in an effort to keep the funds flowing. Feel free to send your ideas to Michelle Webb, who is heading up a committee to explore other avenues for fundraising.

Oktoberfest cancelled

For the second year in a row, Fountain Hills will not be having an Oktoberfest. Last year, rain caused the "fair grounds" to become too soggy. This year, we can blame it on the pandemic. Due to social distancing restrictions, the Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel the festivities.
Four Peaks Rotary has traditionally operated a beer and pretzel booth to raise money for the club's various philanthropies. Historically, this fundraiser raises nearly $2,000. This anticipated income is not reflected in the current club budget.

Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts still on schedule

The next Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts is scheduled to take place November 13-15. Out of an abundance of caution, the anticipated income from the fall event is not included in the 2020-2021 budget. Here's the good news... if the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce is able to hold the event, Four Peaks Rotary Club will earn $5,000.

Committee Reviewing Golf Outing Contract

We currently have a two year contract with Ancala Golf Course to hold our next two golf outings. Due to the current pandemic, the golf committee is working with the Ancala Golf Course to determine the club's exposure should the March 2021 event need to be cancelled. The committee is gathering information and will make a recommendation to club members in the next few months. Last year's outing raised more than $41,000 for the Four Peaks Rotary Foundation.
