Danielle Fisher of McDowell Mountain Elementary School and Valerie Reichler of Fountain Hills Middle School were named Teacher of the Month for August and September.

Danielle Fisher named August Teacher of the Month

Danielle Fisher is in her third year of teaching the third grade honors class at McDowell Mountain Elementary School. Principal Dehombreaux said Ms. Fisher's students are "continually engaged and challenged due to her high expectations and the variety of effective strategies that she uses, including higher order questioning and thinking, hands-on learning, cooperative learning, and technology integration.

Valerie Reischler named September Teacher of the Month

Valerie Reichler was named September Teacher of the Month. She teaches 4th grade math at Fountain Hills Middle School and is also a founding member of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) school-wide discipline team. She was nominated by FHMS principal Jeff Markle and Rich Dellacona, FHMS Dean of Students.
